Couture Accessories

Whilst researching for my summer project I came across this amazing silk tulle headpiece by Balenciaga. It's from his 1964 collection and is aptly named "mille-feuilles".

The tulle pom-poms are so soft and delicate but very contemporary at the same time. I would never have thought this kind of fabric could be used to create a structured headpiece, but it works beautifully.

Spring has Sprung

Spring has sprung in my garden and I have been scouring for inspiration for my summer project. Textures and Colours are the brief so what better place to start than right here at home in my own little corner of London.

The mixture of colours and textures, rough with smooth is definitely something to explore.
